Dr. Sarah L. Webb is the founder and owner of Colorism Healing, a global leader in raising awareness, shifting attitudes, and taking action to address colorism with corporate, consumer, and community strategies. Since 2011, Dr. Webb's myriad efforts to address colorism include designing college courses, hosting an international writing contest, publishing books, teaching workshops, and mentoring students across the world from Sacramento, California to Sydney, Australia. Dr. Webb has written and contributed to several academic and non-academic articles, presented at numerous conferences, and been featured on regional NPR stations, Fox Soul TV, the Illinois Times, Forbes.com, and the TEDx stage.

Sumati joined Change Research in November 2021. She brings over a decade of data analysis experience and experience working with non-profits. Prior to joining Change Research, Sumati was the Coordinator of Institutional Research and Data Science at Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society, conducting research on student outcomes in community and technical colleges and the impact the non-profit has on student success. Prior to that, she was the Director of Academic IT at Tougaloo College, an HBCU in the heart of Mississippi, where she focused on data management and systems management. Sumati holds an MBA from Walden University and a Bachelors in Software Engineering from the University of Southern Mississippi. She is the vice-chair of the Mississippi Alliance for Change. She is a member of the Fall 2021 Arena Academy cohort where she completed the digital track. Sumati was born and raised in Mississippi, where she currently lives with her husband and two kids. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, sewing, geeking out to Marvel movies, and listening to music.

Jacqueline Battalora, Ph.D., J.D., M.T.S. – Brief Bio.
Jacqueline Battalora is the author of, Birth of a White Nation: The Invention of White People and Its Relevance Today 2nd ed. (New York: Routledge Press, 2021). She is an attorney and professor of sociology at Saint Xavier University, Chicago and a former Chicago Police Officer. Battalora is an editor for the Journal of Understanding and Dismantling Privilege.
She completed her law degree and came to Chicago to practice. Her interest in the role of law in creating human difference shaped her graduate work at Northwestern University where she received her Ph.D.
