Phillip A. Singleton - the Hip Hop Lobbyist - is a best-selling author, TEDx speaker, and political expert. In 2010, at the age of 24, he became the youngest African-American lobbyist in Florida’s history.
For nearly 15 years, Phillip has played an instrumental role in passing legislation regarding the expansion of Major League Soccer in Florida - Orlando City Soccer Club; securing millions in accreditation resources top ranked institutions and Historically Black Colleges and Universities - Florida State University & Florida A&M University, respectively; campaign and election reform; along with steering millions in resources for at-risk youth programs and various economic development projects.
In 2011, the Florida Conference of Black State Legislators (FCBSL) recognized him as an Emerging Leader in politics. Phillip would go on to be recognized by 850 Business Magazine - Top 40 under 40; the Network of Young Professionals - Top 20 under 40; and FloridaPolitics.com - Top 30 under 30 for his impactful work in Government Affairs.
In 2017, Black Enterprise magazine recognized Phillip Singleton as a “Statesman” and Top 100 BE Modern Man for his impact on state and federal politics. Between 2018-2021, Phillip served as Senior Advisor to former-U.S. Rep. Al Lawson (FL-5).
Since 2023, Phillip has served as Florida's Legislative Chair for the American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE).
Phillip attended Florida A&M University. He is married to Jalencia A. Singleton of Delray Beach, Florida and father to Douglas “BIG POTUS” Singleton.
