Jamesa Bailey is the director of Black campaigns at Planned Parenthood Action Fund, where she directs the overall political and organizing strategy for Black engagement and mobilization at both the national and affiliate level. She also works to provide valuable insights, research, and information on the values, concerns, and challenges of Black people that will be used to create culturally sensitive and smart engagement strategies.
A pivotal moment of success for her has been creating Planned Parenthood’s Black Organizing Program in 2018 and growing the program in 14 states within the first 10 months of its launch. In December 2020, Jamesa was inducted to the Forbes 30 under 30 Class of 2021. Her experience is enhanced by her bachelor’s degree in political science from Delaware State University and her master's of public administration with a concentration in nonprofit management from the University of Baltimore. Jamesa and her husband Justin are proud first time parents to baby Camden. She is a proud Marylander from Temple Hills, Maryland.
